Thinking of You
Mandy Miss you August 27, 2008
Where do you I begin Trish you have and will always be Larry's best friend.  He would always kid that there is a better place for us all and he has found it.  He is up there in heaven watching over us all.  Larry always wanted the best for everyone he ever came in contact with.  We would want us all to remeber the good times and all the laughs that we shared.  I am so honored to have met his family.  Penny Larry always made me feel like a part of his family and you just confirmed it when we meet.   I will miss him for the rest of my family, but can't wait until the day that I can see him again and give him a big hug.  Larry touched everyone that he came in contact with.  We became alot closer than I would have thought.   Larry was like the father that I never had.  He was always there to help me and listen when I need him.  He will be greatly missed but NEVER forgotten.

Just wanted to say to Larry's family that God sure called a good one on home!!!!! I have had the priviledge of meeting Larry and knowing him through some of my family!!!! He was a great pleasure!!!! Always a smile, a uplifting spirit even in the worst of situations.  He always had a willing spirit about him to help anyone do anything.  If he thought it was in his power to do and he knew the need it was met.  I worked with Larry taking care of Trish when she has been so so sick and also duing Katrina and it was all a pleasure!!!  Being in our family through love allowed us to spend a lot of good times together.  My parents place at the River was a favorite.   Also he was wonderful in his job!!!! He has helped us alot with a family member in trouble trying to do what is best!!!  I know God has some great rewards for him and he is still probally handing them out to him.   Larry will be forever remembered in our family and home. Trish we can't imagine how you must feel in this loss!!!! But just know we love you and we are praying for you as we know so much of your life has gone home!!! Just remember you will be there too when the Lord is ready to call you home!!! I pray the Lord give you strength and comfort to face each new day without a huge part of you that is with the Lord today!!! Mark and Mariann
Sherry For a great person!! August 18, 2008
I remember Larry when he started out in law enforcement as a patrol officer in Eudora. He was such an awesome person!!!! He never met a stranger. I was really glad when I moved to Monticello to run into him and he was always here for me if I ever needed him. Just as he was there for everyone. He is gone, but never forgotten!!! Trish, you have a special angel watching over you and the girls!!! And to the family, I want to tell you how very sorry I am for your loss. Billy, it was great getting to see you...Keep your memories close and know he loves you all!!! He is in a way better place than we are. God has him in his hands!!!!

Jason Beckham Words are not enough... August 15, 2008

There are not enough words to express what Larry Smith meant to me. In the very short time that I had the honor of getting close and taking care of him, I made one of the closest friends that I could have ever had. It's hard for me to have seen him the way that I did. He was one of the strongest human beings that I have ever met. I think he liked proving me wrong...but I think that I liked it more. I'll never forget his smile and the bond that we made for the rest of my life. Thank you for allowing me to become part of his and your lives. I would do it a million times over again. Again, thank you.

Paul Outlaw Thanks a millon August 15, 2008
I again just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to be there in Larry's last days here and to help take care of Him. Just remember that one day we shall see Larry again in his new healthy body where there is no more suffering. Just remember this Psalm that David wrote "I will lift mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord". Psalm 121 1-2. God bless to the family and friends if you need someone to talk to just let me know I love yall and God bless.
